MEGAN GLEESON graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor of Music degree in classical piano under the instruction of Scottish concert pianist Dr. Toni James and Symphony pianist Dr. Tina Chong. She also holds collegiate level certifications in music theory and performance from Mesa College, where she tutored every level of aural skills and music theory that the college had to offer.

At San Diego State University, Megan studied piano pedagogy, music education, instrumental and vocal accompaniment, as well as collaborative works, performing in various public recitals.  Ms. Gleeson has a strong background in voice and sang in each auditioned choir at SDSU as well as an a capella group. She has been an active pianist and vocalist for contemporary worship bands at both Reliance Church in Temecula and Existence Church in San Diego for over five years.  Megan has performed as an entertainer for various events around San Diego, including restaurant entertainment, private parties, and corporate events. She has also studied choral works at the Goldegg Music Seminar in Austria.

Megan has been teaching piano for over a decade, working with students of all ages and of varying levels.  She has been playing the piano since she was five years old, and teaching music since she was fifteen years old. She has served as faculty at several music schools in San Diego, including San Diego Piano Academy for 3 years. It is important to her that her students become appreciative, well-rounded musicians who play at a level of excellence with a true passion for music. She believes that music should tell a story, and that every musician should be equipped with the ability to express their story.
